Halloween Party

Don’t forget the Halloween Party on Friday 20th October – 7.30 pm start – a prize will be awarded for the best outfit!!

St Edmunds-Home

1st game
City again made a good start with some great passing and tackling and within seconds of kick-off time City was up 1-0 with a goal by Brian Muinami.

Both teams played very well, and there was some great saves by both goalkeepers, at half-time the score was still 1-0 to City.

In the second half City never gave up and they battled for the ball all the time, some great defending by St Edmunds and a great save by Reece Horwood (City goal-keeper). St Edmunds managed to get a goal back and the final score in the first game was 1-1.

2nd game
Some great play by both teams and some chances by city but at the end of the first half the score was 0-0.

Within seconds of the second half St Edmunds scored. The tackling by city and passing was great, and city had plenty of chances to score but it just wasn’t going their way. Then Bradley Rowbotham made a break for it and scored a cracking goal.

City were trying to hold on to a draw, but towards the end of the game St Edmunds managed to score another goal with the score ending 2-1 to St Edmunds.

Both games were great to watch and both teams were equally matched, and the result could have gone either way.

Overall Score: 3-2 to St Edmunds

Kidlington - Away

Red League:

1st Game

City made a great start within seconds off kick-off time, when Curtis Adams made an excellent cross into Kidlington's area where Wayne Beechers was waiting to knock it in the back of the net. This was a great start for City and boosted the player’s confidence.

The Kidlington goalkeeper made some great saves, and City’s defending was excellent. Then Kidlington came back at City with a goal. There was great play by both teams in the first half and the half-time score was 1-1.

Second-half saw some great chances by both teams, but the defenders for both were excellent. Then Curtis Adams made a break down the left wing and again made an excellent cross into Kidlington’s area, and Liam Williams made a great volley (of the chest) and back into Kidlington’s goal.

This was an excellent game to watch and both teams played very well, with some great tackling.

Man of Match: Brian Muinami

2nd Game

Good start by Kidlington gave them an early goal and went 1-0 up within seconds of the kick-off time. City played very well, with some great tackling by both Grady Cherry and Bradley Rowbotham. Kidlington had several chances but they weren’t going to get pass City’s defence. City played very hard and had some opportunities to score by the goalkeeper made some great saves.

The half-time score was 1-0 to Kidlington.

Both teams came out after half-time wanting to score goals, they both played extremely well, and both goalkeepers made some good saves. City had lots of opportunities to score goals, but it just wasn’t going in. Then at last Bradley Rowbotham made a break for it and scored a great goal minutes before the final whistle.

Man of Match: Mitchell White

Overall result: 3-2 to City

This was City’s first win of the season, and the kids were out on a high, both of City’s teams played extremely well today and deserve a pat on the back. Keep it up City!!!
