Kennington - Away

1st Game

City made a good start with some chances at goal by it just wouldn’t go in. Kennington took the lead, and this was followed by another goal shortly after from Kennington.

City was then awarded a penalty for a handball (there were many of these in both games, but the ref was not paying attention!!!), but unfortunately city couldn’t even get a goal from this.

The score was 2-0 at half-time.

There was some good defending by city in the second-half by Kennington still managed to score another 2 goals making it 4-0. City did not intend to give up, and with some great passing and battling; Bradley Rowbotham managed to get the ball in the back on Kennington’s net.

Final score in the first game was 4-1 to Kennington.

Man of Match: Adam Martin

2nd game

City had a lot to do in this game to be back in the chance of winning but this was not meant to be. City had a good start, and there was some great battling by both teams, but Kennington took the lead 1-0, then another, then another, making it 3-0 to Kennington. Heads went down, but City was determined not to give up and a great goal from Jack Kent got us one back.

Final score 3-1 to Kennington

Man of Match: Wayne Beechers

Overall score 8-2 to Kennington

These were two very disappointing games, but keep your heads up boys and don’t give up; it’s not all over yet!!!

And make sure you turn up to training at 6.45 PROMPT!!!!!!

Radley

Red League

We knew this would be a tough game, but both teams played exceptionally well.

1st Game

Radley went ahead, but it wasn’t long after that before Brian (Colts) equalised, there was some great play and some great defending from both sides. Radley scored again, and at half-time the score was 2-1 to Radley. There were some chances for City, but it wasn’t meant to be and Radley scored another goal making the final score in the first game 3-1 to Radley.

Man of Match: Reece Horwood (Goalkeeper)

2nd Game

This was a great game to watch, some great challenges made by Bradley Rowbotham, and great defending by Mitchell White and Wayne Beechers. Oxford City goalkeeper Joe Russell made some amazing saves. There was some good attacking play made by Grady Cherry, but at half-time the score was 0-0. Both teams were looking to score in the second half, but it was Oxford City that were determined to score with a goal from Bradley Rowbotham making the final score 1-0 to Oxford City.

Man of match: Joe Russell (Goalkeeper)

Final result: 3-2 to Radley
